This collection has all those “assorted” paintings that didn’t make it to any of the other categories. Some of these came straight out of the spirit, such as: Stoic, Ecstasy, Essence, Radio, Lost, and Sorcery. A few of these paintings are self portraits, others, such as the SR-71 was a commissioned painting which was auctioned at the Wings of Hope for Pancreatic Cancer Research event, where I met pilot, Brian Shul, and navigator, Walter Watson as they presented their best selling book “The Untouchables” which talks about their most exiting covert spy plane missions while flying the “Black Bird”. The hands holding the heart was a commissioned painting for the fundraiser Milagros del Corazón by the Chicano Arts Council, CHAC, and “El Encuentro” (The Encounter) is a portrait of Homero Aridjis, one of Mexico’s most prominent poets and activists which was presented to him at the Americas Latino Eco Festival in Denver in October of 2017. The last six paintings are from my 2018 Fall Residency at Chatteau de La Napoule in the South of France.
